The Calling of an Aethyrobite Colony

It is based on material from 'Seal, Sigil & Call : A New Approach to Ritual Magic" copyrighted by J.R. Mascaro
This calling runs on several ontological assertions:
1. Panpsychic Nonduality: Existence is itself conscious, and all consciousness emanates from it and is linked through it.
2. Fractal Holography: Information about the totality of existence is encoded on the smallest expressions of existence, and this information expresses itself in fractal patterns from which all other existential patterns can be extrapolated.
These two assertions establish an operating paradigm in which we understand that we are not bound by space, because we are already everywhere through panpsychic linkage to all other consciousnesses, including the overconsciousness of the divine thought pulse of the multiverse, which is present across dimensions even in the vacuum of space. We are everywhere, and as such can reach out through space to bring forth wonders. Distance does not bind us.
In addition, through the observation of local patterns, we can extrapolate to find similar existential patterns. So, we may reach across the starry expanse to find exotic manifestations that follow patterns analogous to those here in the world in which we are currently incarnate. These patterns can be mathematical, chemical, ecological, etc.
Using these principles, I have reached out into the aether and found a class of colony consciousness creatures that appear similar to trilobites (although comprised of thought-stuff of a semi-transparent electric blue) and behave similarly to isopods, although this is just how they manifest in my visions. As we know, immaterial creatures can appear differently based on the lens of consciousness through which they are viewed.
These creatures feed on stagnant or calcified energy and dissolve it into Alkahest, pure root potential energy. We can think of them as energetic detritivores, a boon to a healthy energetic ecosystem when their population is stable.
As summoners of these intelligences it is our duty to make sure they are handled responsibly, and to understand a bit about them.
These creatures are colony consciousnesses, hive minds of a sort, each individual a synapse in a larger mind, each individual aware of what each other individual is aware of. They do not communicate linguistically, rather they can emanate concepts and sensations in the direction of other consciousnesses. They are benign, converting stale and calcareous energy into flowing and usable energy being the entirety of their aim. In the absence of such stagnant energy to convert, they will roam around seeking it, and they are very good at finding it. If placed in a realm where no stagnant energy exists, they will wander around in spiral patterns softly sussurating and communicating amongst themselves until they detect stale energies to remediate or a way into a more promising scavenging ground.
Now that background has been given on these intelligences, which I refer to as Aethyrobites, we can talk about calling them forth.
To serve as a translational bridge between my personal, incarnate here and now and the reality of these beings, I use an Eidolon, an independent thoughtform entity representative of a concept, in this case the concept of deep time and fossil memory, to pull on the strings of the pattern echo of their similarity to trilobites.
Depending on their paradigm of practice, some may prefer to do this in a circle, which is completely valid. For my part, my entire system of magic is built upon the supposition that one will reach a place where doing magic as needed throughout their day is as natural as breathing. Calling in beings is something I am as happy to do on the commuter train as in formal ritual, and all of the layers of magic woven around me exist to support this practice.
There are no reagents necessary for this calling, as I tend to eschew the use of physical objects. As someone who casts on the go, I utilize allegorical constants. This is to say that anything that exists in prime material out in the world must also exist in the mind. To have a sword, you must first have the concept of a sword. The concept wielded in the energetic space works fine for my purposes, and it will never rust or cause awkward questions from security.
So, what will you need?
In your mind's eye, you will need the seal and sigil of the Eidolon of Fossil Memory. The seal is below, and the sigil is a megalodon tooth or trilobyte fossil. This sigil can be visualized, held in hand as a sketch, or kept on your person as a physical object. In my system a seal is an illustration in a circle that serves as the representation of an entity and is meant to be indicative of its nature, and a sigil is a very simple symbol used as a shorthand conduit for connecting to that entity.
Normally, one must be acquainted with an Eidolon to work with them, but this one is agreeable to performing this specific function when asked without need for a formal working relationship, as this task is important to them. Keep in mind that Eidolons are subroutines of existence, they do not require gifts, they disdain worship, and they roll their metaphorical eyes at commands. They work alongside the magician in a collegiate manner when common goals are shared. They exist to perform functions, and if what you ask aligns with their functions they are happy to do it and the performance of their function is its own reward, though courtesy, geniality, and thanks are appreciated. If what you ask is misaligned with their functions, nothing will make them accommodate you because they ARE what they do and cannot do what they are not.

Continuing with the instructions on calling the Aethyrobites, wherever you may be, you will visualize the Eidolon seal (above) suspended in the air before you. You will then hold the sigil (megalodon tooth or trilobite fossil) or a sketch of the sigil in your dominant hand, or visualize the sigil upon your dominant palm.
Here you will spend a few moments taking in the emanations of the seal, feeling its energy, before calling the Eidolon of Fossil Memory.
Imbuing the sigil in or on your hand with energy you will speak (or think projectively, if in public):
"I stand in a circle of my own design and call you by the ones who saw without eyes and spoke without voice, by the memories of bones and the whispers of petrified forests. I call you, echo of life, dweller in deep time, to be the bridge between my words and an ageless place."
NOTE : In my system of magic, the phrase "I stand in a circle of my own design" denotes the concept that the magician, no matter the location of their physical body, is always able to step into the sacred sanctum within their own consciousness. In this phrase "design" means will, purpose, and devising.
After calling the Eidolon, who should stand ready to perform this translational bridge function for you, it is time to open the way for the Aethyrobites. You can do so by calling them in the following way.
Visualize a bioluminescent ecosystem, a landscape hanging in the expanse of space, skittering languidly around its surfaces in spiral patterns are trilobyte-like energy beings, electric blue and semi-transparent. Address these beings as follows:
"Colony mind of celestial recyclers, beings known to me as Aethyrobites, I bid you cross the bridge of my summons into the realm from which it flows. Once here I task you to find one calcification of ossified energy, or similar stagnation in aetheric flow, and dissolve it as is your natural inclination. Upon completing this task, I place a recollection upon you to the place from whence you answered this call, and to the fractional moment after the moment in which you answered, returning with my thanks. I place this selfsame recollection upon you in the event your task proves too much to complete."
Notice that this calling is conditionally bound, we are calling them to find one energy calcification and dissolve it before returning to the time and place from whence they came. We do this because we do not wish to fiddle with the energetic ecosystem we summoned them from, or our own. We do not want them lingering here over long, nor do we want to deprive where they came from of their presence. Our aim is that when the conditions of their return are met they will be automatically returned to the moment immediately after they were summoned, appearing never to have left at all except to those able to observe minute fractions of seconds. We also place the same return upon them if for any reason the dissolution of the calcification is too much for them, this can happen when a smaller colony tackles a very large calcification, they may become fatigued, at which point they will be sent back rather than forced to essentially gorge themselves.
We do not offer the Aethyrobites anything for this summoning. It has never been necessary in my experience. We are in essence inviting them to a buffet. The invitation is not forced, though I have never had them turn it down, and the reward is the buffet itself. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement.
I hope this working is of use to you.
